All through the construction of our ‘grand design’, I had to make constant decisions. One of the easiest ever was to invest in some custom-built shelving for our music collection. My own jerry-built constructions had only led to breakages and tears before bedtime. Our Red shelves are wonderful because everything fits – and fits together. They are solidly built, but eminently adaptable – and aesthetically pleasing. The only thing they don’t do – despite my cajoling – is to mate, and produce some much-needed offspring.
